This is our team’s fourth trip to The Kausay Wasi Clinic and once again just as successful. The Newton Wellesley Hospital team continued to shine as our patients thrived at our “southern” location in Coya, Peru. We started the week slowly, but with continued advertising throughout the Sacred Valley, our surgical schedule was promptly booked to capacity. We continued to be amazed at the distances these patients travel to receive our medical care.
While we all recognize the focus of our time in Coya is the work we do at the Clinic, it’s safe to say our highlight was an evening at Guido and Sandy’s home – complete with him entertaining us on his accordion!
