Campaign Summary: There were 34 surgical procedures performed in the main operating rooms by Dr. Von Gryska and Dr. Vinod Narra. Some of the procedures they performed were laparoscopic cholecystectomies, inguinal hernia repairs and umbilical hernia repairs. Dr. Roy Hong from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation completed over 25 local procedures in a clinic room which included excisions of scar contractures, lipomas, and skin cancer.

2017 marked another successful trip to the Kausay Wasi Clinic in Coya, Peru with team members primarily from Newton Wellesley Hospital. Dr. Vinod Narra, a general surgeon from North Shore Medical Center was an amazing addition to the team.
We had four team members who are bilingual this year – Emma, Iolanda, Catherine and Martha. This was a key element in providing wonderful patient care.
